Photography has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. When I was eight years old, my grandfather put an 8mm camera in my hands, and something clicked—literally and figuratively. I fell in love with the idea that you could capture a moment, preserve it, and tell a story with nothing more than light, timing, and a little patience. That fascination eventually led me into photojournalism, where I learned that the best images don’t just show you what happened—they make you feel what it was like to be there.

Even after a career spent working with moving pictures, I still love the deliberate, tactile experience of shooting actual film: choosing the frame, trusting the exposure, and waiting to see what you captured. Photography has never really been a hobby for me. It’s part of how I see the world—and, in one form or another, it’s been part of me since I was eight years old.
